While Jon's upcoming Christmas tour in December is about to kick off, he's been attending charity events, such as co-headlining the 'Rock-it to a Cure' event on November 15th in Indianapolis. Just recently, he visited the Riley Hospital for Children and joined their "Hope Happens Here" campaign by lending his voice with a self-written song titled "Hope Happens Here". For every $1 song purchase, that $1 goes to the Riley Children's Foundation The song will be available soon here:

It's been a while since I've uploaded multimedia files for the site, but that has changed as I added 4 new items in the Multimedia -Audio section. They include 2 full live shows from 2011 and 2 demo recordings.
Jon recorded most, if not all of his 2011 shows then and it appears they haven't been circulated within the fanbase. I acquired these by going to his shows. I learned that a recording from Scarborough, Maine exists but haven't gotten my hands on it. If anyone has other shows they can share and forward them to be, that'll be fantastic. Thanks in advance!
The setlist for these 2 shows are identical:
Live shows are located under Live & In-Studio Recordings.
The 2 demos are Just Give It Time and an unreleased song titled "Wonder." (Located under Additional Recordings)
Also, Jon's Promising Promises summer tour wrapped up a few days ago. One thing we have to ask now is, what's next for Jon? Another tour in the coming months? Small hiatus so he can go back in the studio for the next recording? We'll just have to wait and hear it from the man himself.
Thanks for checking,

Promising Promises has already arrived! It's a remastered/remixed version of Forever If Ever with 3 brand new songs. 'A LIttle Too Hard', 'Brought This On Myself', and''You Are What I'm Here For' were the songs replaced for the new ones. It's a long time coming for Jon since parting ways with major record label, Island.
There are 3 versions of the album: the regular version, iTunes version and the Best Buy Exclusive:
*The regular version, of course, includes the 12 songs that make up the album.
*iTunes version includes the iTunes LP album, a 'Making of Promising Promises' video, the 'Summer is Over' music video and 3 bonus acousic tracks of 'Maybe It's Over', 'Without You Now' and 'What I Want'
*Best Buy exclusive includes a bonus disc with piano versions of 'Promising Promises', 'Summer is Over', 'These Crazy Times' and 'If Only.'
With all the promotion and extras that came with this release, the future looks bright for Jon. Look for his tour dates at jonmcl.com.. there are a few tickets left and it's a short Summer tour!

It seems like Jon completed his contractual agreement with Island Def Jam and is no longer part of their roster. According to this article, it is believed Jon will release his next album, potentially titled, Forever If Ever in September.
"MUNCIE -- When Jon McLaughlin hits the stage at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Emens Auditorium, the audience will be in for a treat. McLaughlin will perform several songs from his upcoming album, Forever If Ever, set to be released Sept. 6.The pianist, singer, songwriter and Anderson native's appearance is part of the Music for All program that will bring more than a thousand high school musicians and instructors to the campus of Ball State University.
"It's a pretty high-energy show," McLaughlin said. "I think that this record that will be out in September is the first time that the live show is fully represented on a record."
McLaughlin believes this will be his first time performing at Emens. Recording in the studio for months now, he is anxious to perform his new stuff.
"I'll have to force myself to not do every new song," McLaughlin said. "We'll do some new music for sure."
A music lover himself, McLaughlin will give his fans many of the songs they love. He knows the feeling of leaving a concert, wishing the artist performed your favorite song.
"If I went to a Tom Petty show and he said, 'All right for the rest of the show I'm only playing new stuff.' I would be like, 'Come on.' "
Signed to Island Def Jam for two albums, McLaughlin fulfilled his contractual obligation and is now independent -- a route he says is very attractive to musicians.
"It's just that there's so much you can do on your own," McLaughlin said. "You can do everything that a label does independently. I feel like now it's all about just your email list, your social media kind of followers -- just really keeping it as organic as you can.""

Sorry for the lack of updates, life has been revolving around work recently.
I will be uploading recordings of the Philadelphia and NYC shows soon. If anyone has attended his shows recently, then you could've gotten the night's concert audio on CD. If anyone has his shows besides Philly and NYC, please forward them to me. Would love to have the entire collection, if they exist.
Most of you probably know by now you can get Jon's new single 'What I Want' for free right here: www.noisetrade.com/jonmcl
It's an amazing track and is probably a taste of what is yet to come.
Speaking of new tracks, Jon has been performing these songs live: Summer is Over; Forever, If Ever; A Little too Hard, a Little to Fast.. They will probably end up on the new record and I'm sure we won't be disappointed with the final result.
Look for a new site banner in the coming weeks.

Hello all, it's been a while since I've updated the site.
First bit of news, Jon will be performing in Chicago, IL on April 1st (no, it's not a joke)
See? It's an all ages show and only $18.00, so get your tickets soon. You can expect to hear some new songs from his upcoming album (no info yet). Hopefully he'll add a few more dates later on.
In other news, Jon's good friend and fellow musician (and a favorite artist of mine), Matt Wertz, will be releasing his 4th studio album of all new material on March 15th. You can order his album at Amazon.com, or on iTunes. He will also go on tour in support of the new album, starting in New York City on March 25th. Check mattwertz.com for all the details.
Tim Halperin, another fellow musician and AI hopeful, just released a new song which you can download for free here: https://www.noisetrade.com/timhalperin" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.noisetrade.com/timhalperin .I definitely recommend checking him out if you've never heard his music. He will release an album later this year.
This is all for now

Jon's Christmas single "Merry, Merry Christmas Everyone" is out now. The song is very relateable, catchy and it's what I would have expected from Jon.
Also, here's an e-mail message from Jon/Island regarding the single and a small album update:
Well after writing songs day in and day out for about 9 years now I FINALLY WROTE A CHRISTMAS SONG! It's called "Merry Merry Christmas Everyone" and it's out on iTunes and Amazon.com today!
So, if you've been stressing over what to get me this year, just go buy this song (and I'll act really surprised like this conversation never happened).
The new record's coming along great - can't wait to get it out to you guys and get back on the road!
Happy Holidays, my friends!
Watch a video message here!
- see you soon
